You start at the yellow wall and brown door.

Go right, and read the note:

"Old man Brown
made a journey to town
for his ring was askew
so they fixed it with glue
soon to be a treasure passed down"

Go right again, you are now looking at the back of the closet.

Take the loose hanging coat hanger.
Open the jacket front and take the pocket watch  from inside.

Look down.

Take the old photograph.
Open the red toolbox and take the tin snips
Open the lower compartment of the toolbox and take the mini crowbar

Combine the hanger with the tin snips to cut the hanger to order.

Look at the old photograph and notice the wall clock is on 03:35.

Zoom in on the pocket watch.
Use the wire rod on the latch to open.
Set the clock to 03:35 as per the photograph. You set it by first pulling the side pin and then turning the 2 hands.
(notice the position of the short-and long hands)

Tale the golden key.

Go left (or right) to the wall with the note.
Click close to the top to look up.

Use the mini crowbar to remove the wooden beams covering the panel.
Use the golden key to open.

Flip the lever.
Go down (click on the white square)
Take the envelope from the top shelf.
Open the pocket on the jacket and take the personal organizer.

Open and read the letter:
"November 17, 1987
Dear grandson -
As I grow older in age I feel it is time to pass
on a gift of long ago. Just as my grandfather
and his grandfather did, I give you this
heirloom of the family. Keep it close!
-Gramps"

Look down:

Take the shoehorn

Open the personal organizer.
The password is the date on the letter. 11 17 87  (87 for 1987)
Take the key from inside.

Use the key to open the small brown box on the floor.

Take the diamond ring.

Climb back into the ceiling of the closet.
Flip the switch.
Climb back down.

Go around till you see the door.

Zoom in on the ring and remove the ruby.  You need to pull a few times...
Combine the wire rod with the ruby.

Zoom on on the door knob.
Use the ruby-wire above the door knob to escape!

Well done on a great escape.
Hope you found my walkthrough useful!

  6. I didn't realize you needed to change the room back to yellow. Combining the ruby with the wire rod took some getting used to.

  12. thank you. my mother's last words were "son, Escape 2: The Closet was the bane of my existence, it was my moby dick. I need you to finish it so my soul can pass on into heaven."

I did this for her. She was my saving grace. She had to raise me alone after our father left us while I was 1.54 years old. He left for a younger, riper, man. Sometimes I still feel anger at what he did to us. Sometimes I still remember the pain.

I had to go to therapy starting at the ripe old age of 2. My therapist was none other than Sigmund Freud himself. God bless his soul. He was murdered. Please, pray for him in his absolution. Before he left me he said "son, you will one day finish Escape 2: The Closet. I believe in you."

So today on November 26, 11:52 PM EST, in the year of our lord 2021, I son, have completed Escape 2: The Closet and have fulfilled the prophecy. Thank you André Maakal for giving me the opportunity to complete this masterpiece.

Anyways, here's the recipe to my gay uncle's pumpkin soup:
garlic onion pumpkin broth and heavy cream
    and lemon
    cook the onions till transparent
    add in garlic
put in everything else to taste

    Sincerely,
    Son
